I’m Elise, a self-taught artist with a degree in psychology, a lifelong fascination with stories, and an enduring curiosity about why any of us exist on this spinning rock in space. My work lives at the crossroads of the celestial and the skeletal, the witchy and the southwestern, shaped by my New Mexico roots (yes, Los Alamos—so I probably glow in the dark).
I’ve always been drawn to what makes people who they are—their experiences, passions, heartbreaks, and little inner worlds. That love of human complexity shows up in my art. In my custom work, I try my best to add bits of your story to your design. In my original work, I love to try new things and push myself to new limits.
When I’m not creating, I’m usually playing Skyrim, doing crosswords, watching anything Star Trek, reading Stephen King, or pretending I understand physics. I’m also a musician at heart—mostly violin, but I’ll dabble in anything with strings.
Nebula Soup Design gets its name from a moment in Star Trek: Voyager, when the crew finds themselves missing Neelix’s infamous cooking—not because the food was good, but because he made it. Something about that always stuck with me: the way love and connection infuse even the smallest things with meaning. That’s what I hope my art does too. I’m so glad you’re here!
